Description of the complex Casa Panoramablick
Candelaria is one of the most important places of pilgrimage on the Canary Islands. Since the early years, people used to walk for days from all different spots in the island to show their faith and pray for good health and harvest.
Every year, on the 14th and 15th of August many celebrations take place in the name of the patron saint of the Canary Islands known as the “Virgen de la Candelaria”.
Candelaria is a charming and very quiet village with a 'canarian' feeling about it. The town centre has recenly been restored and there are many shops, bars and restaurants. You might want to try some fresh fish and 'papas con mojo' while you're there, which are the speciality in many places.
Candelaria is just 15 minutes drive from the capital, Santa Cruz. Buses also stop there on their way to the capital and other destinations
Description of Candelaria on Tenerife-South
Ein bedeutendster Wallfahrtsort der Kanaren ist Candelaria. Hier feiert man am 14. und 15. August die Schutzheilige der Kanaren Virgen de la Candelaria. Es heißt übersetzt die Lichtbringende Jungfrau, zu diesem Fest zieht es sehr viele Canarios nach Candelaria. Das nicht mehr erhaltene Original dieser Heiligenfigur wurde in vorkolonialistischer Zeit von den Guanchen am Meer gefunden. Dieser Fund begründete das "Wunder von Candelaria", das heute noch gefeiert und jedes Jahr zur Wallfahrt wieder aufgeführt wird. Auf der Südwestseite sieht man an der Plaza de la Patrona de Canarias die Wallfahrtskirche Basilica de Nuestra Senora de la Candelaria. Sie ist täglich von 7:30 bis 13:00 Uhr und von 15:00 bis 19:30 Uhr geöffnet. Auf der Nordwestseite der Plaza befindet sich die Kapelle San Ana. Sie stammt aus dem 18. Jahrhundert und ist inmitten der typischen kanarischen Häuser. Doch leider hat sie nur sehr selten geöffnet. An Meerseite wird die Plaza de la Patrona de Canaria vom Ortstrand Playa de Candelaria abgegrenzt. Hier entstanden in den 90ziger Jahren 9 sehr große Statuen der berühmten Guanchenkönige . Ihre Namen sind Acayomo, Adjona, Anatervo, Bencomo, Beneharo, Pelicar, Pelinar, Romen und Tegueste.
Das schmucke Städtchen an der Ostküste ist der wichtigste Wallfahrtsort der Insel. Am Namenstag der Schutzpatronin der Kanarischen Inseln (14./15. August) pilgern Tausende von Gläubigen zum Platz vor der Kathedrale, um die Statue der Heiligen Jungfrau von der Candelaria zu ehren. Das nicht mehr erhaltene Original dieser Heiligenfigur wurde in vorkolonialistischer Zeit von den Guanchen am Meer gefunden. Dieser Fund begründete das „Wunder von Candelaria“, das heute noch gefeiert und jedes Jahr zur Wallfahrt wieder aufgeführt wird.

Description of Apartment House Panoramablick A
  The cottage is situated on a 5,000 sqm spanish finca. You can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the sea and the mountains from 400 meters over the sea level.
These accommodations are a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. It is only 4 km away from the beach in Candelaria, which is a lovely little village famous for its holy virgin, who is a symbol for the entire archipelago. There is a well-stocked supermarket in the town centre and a shopping mall, which opens on Sundays too.
The finca consists of 3 or 4 fully furnished apartments. They are all equiped with heaters for cold winter evenings.
There is also a 9 x 5 m swimming pool and chaise longues for our guests to use. All apartments have satellite TV with a great choice of international channels. There is also a hair dryer and a safe in each apartment. On top of this, as a tradition in the Islands, bread is delivered daily to your door.
Apt. A – B
The Apartments A and B have a spacious living room with visually delimited, fully equipped luxury kitchen (cooker, multi cooker, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge and freezer) and each has got two double bedrooms. Moreover, the apartments have two full bathrooms with showers and a separate toilet. There are also two TVs with many international channels. One of the TVs is in the living room and the other one, in the master bedroom. The apartments also have a safe. Outside, there are two big terraces with garden furniture and a stunning panoramic view.
