Zusammen mit seiner Ehefrau Sonsoles Espinosa besitzt er eine kleine Villa im Süden von Lanzarote. Er wird seine Zeit u.a.dazu nutzen, ein Buch über die spanische Gesellschaft und die Krise zu schreiben.
